Performed system-wide functions under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. In charge of all technology purchases, implementation, and maintenance of the district network.
Started the first gopher and World Wide Web server in a local Stark County School. This was one of the few K-12 district web servers in the nation at the time.
Installed a district-wide network linking classrooms and offices together. Provided accounts for students, staff, and community.
Served as a member of the district-wide Technology Strategic Planning Committee that developed our first 5-year technology plan.
Part of the Osnaburg portion of the SchoolNet prototype team that secured one of the few prototype sites in the state.
Selected to serve as an East Regional SchoolNet Team member to help with the implementation of SchoolNet at the regional level.
Part of the grant team that won the “Extending the Boundaries” grant from the county in ‘94, securing servers, network equipment, and internet access for classrooms.
One of 90 teacher team members selected from across the United States in 1995 for the “Transformations Project,” A national project sponsored by professional engineering associations to promote the integration of Technology into Science and Math. Attended a three-week training session held at Boston College.
