JSR 284: Resource Consumption Management API

The spec was proposed but only supported by few JVM vendors.

The Oracle JDK includes an implementation in rt.jar, with a package name jdk.management.resource.

The API is intended for partitioning resources (constraints, reservations) among Java applications and for querying about resource availability (notifications). It will also provide means of exposing various kinds of resources.
