Gods and Monsters

Fallen Angel

This is one of my favourite creations, the Fallen Angel.

Dark Angel

A Dark Goddess.

M.A.W.

A doodle.

Sheela Na Gig

This is my depiction of the grotesque form sometimes found on churches known as 'Sheela Na Gigs'.

It is depicted here with a 'Green Man', another form which may be found in medieval churches.

These two designs are based upon those found at Kilpeck Church in Herefordshire.

The Boggart

The Boggart is a mythological creature known to haunt many places throughout Europe.

Places I've visited where these creatures abound, include Harecastle Tunnel near Stoke on Trent, and Arbor Low in the Peak District.

The Bat

This piece was inspired by a carving inside a Medieval Church.

A Cat that got Out of Hand

I was trying to draw a Cat, but it got out of hand!

Pan

This is a depiction of a medieval carving of the folkloric character known as Pan.

The actual carving maybe found in Castle Lodge in Ludlow, Shropshire.

Saint Michael

This is a self portrait depicting myself as Saint Michael, based upon a stained glass window.

St Michael was known as the Warrior of God, and as such is the patron saint of warriors and soldiers.
