Driving question: Who is behind this geometry idea?
Introduction:
Many people knew about geometry before us, without even knowing it was actually geometry. Such as the Babylonians and the Egyptians, they knew about versions of the Pythagorean Theory about 1500 years before the Pythagoras. So think about how old the pyramids are, now think about how the Egyptians used geometry
to build them without any actual modern tools. That's about how long ago geometry was used and I'm sure it was used long before that too. If they could build the pyramids back then with no modern tools just using geometry, imagine the great things we can do today with all the tools and advances we have, imagine all the endless possibilities and adventures there are to explore using geometry, but to understand everything, first we have to reflect and know about its history.

Procedures:
Step 1: You will need PowerPoint so if you don't already have access to it you will need to download the software.
Step 2: You will need to gather all information such as data.
Step 3: You will need to use your own words and explain the process of history of geometry, and establishing it.
Step 4: You will need to go over it and check it and then submit it to your teacher.
Step 5: You will need to began following the steps on the PBL.Harmonytx.org website.
Step 6: You must complete both the ELA and Social Studies components.
Step 7: You must complete an About my School page explaining what you have participated in and how your school is.
Step 8: You should complete all steps on the PBL website make sure to not leave out any links or URLS that should be added.

1. Research how the study of the geometric topic you have chosen has helped in other fields. For example, how has the study of fractals contributed to science?
Math and science go right along with each other, to know most scientific formulas, you need to know math. You have to do a lot of things that involve math, in science. Adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying. Bottom line, if you don't know math, you're for sure to struggle in science.
2. What are the types of Geometry? What is the difference between them?
Analytic Geometry, Algebraic Geometry, Descriptive Geometry, Differential Geometry, Protective Geometry, and non-Euclidean Geometry.
3. Why did people invent Geometry? What were the needs?
The Egyptians invited geometry so they could build and do everything they needed to easier.
4. Which civilization has the biggest impact on improving Geometry?
The Pythagoras, not only did they improve it, they made several different forms of it.
