When I was a little guy, we had author visits to my elementary school. I met some amazing people, like Marian T. Place, Eve Bunting, and Syd Hoff. My experiences hearing them speak and getting to meet them in person, solidified my own desires to be an author.

I am a middle and high school art and film teacher by day, and I taught special education for ten years before that. I have a lot of experience engaging young people.
