I was born in Edmonton, but have lived in Regina most of my life. I have always enjoyed drawing, but found it difficult to find time to really develop it with family commitments and work. I retired from teaching in 2009 and decided that now was the time to strengthen my art skills.
I have taken a number of classes through the Neil Balkwill Centre, the College Avenue Campus, and online. In the beginning, I took classes in watercolours. In the last few years, my focus has been mainly acrylics and moving towards more abstract pieces.
In 2010, I became a member of the Aurora Art Guild.
For me, art should be something to enjoy...not only to look at, but to create.
Below is a painting of mine that was posted on Artist Network University. This was done after I took a class from one of their instructors.
Note--When hanging watercolour pieces, make sure that they are not in direct sunlight or in a high humidity location.
