I am an Assistant Professor of Economics and George Johnson Fellow at the University of Memphis. 

My interests are in labor economics, the economics of education, public economics, and development economics. Some of the topics I study are gender gaps in occupation and college major, occupational mobility patterns, college major switching, the task content of career paths, and job training.

I received my Ph.D. from Yale University in 2014 and my B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2007. In 2010-11, I worked as a Staff Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
