Jamin D. Speer
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics and George Johnson Fellow at the University of Memphis.
My primary interests are in labor economics and the economics of education. Some of the topics I study are gender gaps in occupation and college major, occupational mobility patterns, college major switching, the task content of career paths, and job training.
I received my Ph.D. from Yale University in 2014 and my B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2007. In 2010-11, I worked as a Staff Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
