In my 20+ years of teaching at the university level, I've taught 18 different courses in early childhood, elementary education, and special education; having developed 10 of these to be taught fully online. I've taught at the undergrad and master's level, and have taught eight courses at the doctoral level. In 2015, some of my fellow faculty and student nominated me for, and I was honored to win the President's Award for Teaching for the School of Education. I have advised and coordinated the PhD program in Early Childhood Education at UAB and work closely with a lot of our doctoral students.
