I am a research group leader (W2/Associate Professor 5 year fixed term) at the Max Planck Institute for mathematics in the sciences (MPI Mis) in Leipzig. My group website is here.
I'm interested in surfaces, hyperbolic 3-manifolds of infinite volume, dynamics of the earthquake flow, Teichmüller theory, group actions on character varieties, convex projective geometry, bounded cohomology, and related areas.
I completed my PhD in 2019 with Kenneth Bromberg at the University of Utah. In 2019-20, I was an NSF postdoctoral research fellow at Yale University where my sponsoring scientist was Yair Minsky. I was also a member (and organizer) of the virtual MSRI program Fall 2020. I was a postdoc in Beatrice Pozzetti's research group in Heidelberg Spring 2021, and a Gibbs assistant professor at Yale 2021-2022. I was a Juniorprofessor (W1/Assistant Professor) in Heidelberg in 2022-23.
