Jose Angelo Divino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), a Master’s in Economics from the University of Brasília (UnB), a PhD in Economics from Boston University (BU), and a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is currently a professor and the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Economics at the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB). He is also a Senior Research Fellow (level 1B, the second highest) at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq-Brazil), as well as a Project Director and Consultant at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and Vital Strategies Inc. He serves as the Editor of EconomA (published by Emerald) and the Brazilian Journal of Business Economics. His research interests include Monetary Policy, Macroeconomics, and Applied Econometrics. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, academic honors, scholarships, and research grants. He has worked as a consultant for various national and international organizations, including the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), UNDP-UN, the Economic and Social Development Council of the Presidency of the Republic, IPEA, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Government of the Federal District. Dr. Divino has published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Quantitative Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, International Tax and Public Finance, Computational Economics, Journal of Economic Studies, and others.
