Dear Colleague,
As a response to the increasing significance of energy storage in global energy demand management, we are organising a special issue of Applied Energy in this area, to be published in December 2014.
The objective of the special issue is to address the technical challenges in energy storage, focussing on thermal, electrochemical, electrical, mechanical and hybrid technology. The scope of the special issue will cover system design, analysis and integration, new materials development, numerical studies supported by experimental results, pilot studies, applications and demonstration, and any relevant innovation.
We would like to invite colleagues working in this area to submit a research paper for our consideration. To successfully produce this special issue, we are asking authors to confirm their interest by submitting a proposed paper title and short abstract by Monday, 9th December 2013 (Email: apensies@newcastle.ac.uk).
As early submission is preferable, the Elsevier’s Editorial System (EES) will be ready for submission on 1st January 2014. All authors must strictly meet the submission deadline by 28th February 2014.
We look forward to receiving your response and if there is any further information you require, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
Professor Tony Roskilly
