Welcome to my website! I am an associate professor of economics (with tenure) at the University of Utah, where I have been a faculty member since 2016. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kent, an M.S. in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Kent, and a B.S. in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research and teaching interests center on macroeconomics and econometrics. My work focuses on:
Monetary economics, and its interaction with fiscal and financial stabilization policies.
Bayesian methods for time series analysis in empirical macroeconomics.
My academic research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Economics Letters, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Macroeconomic Dynamics, the Review of Income and Wealth, and Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, among others.
