COSINE – Innovative Training Network in Horizon 2020
COSINE is a Marie Sklodowska Curie Innovative Training Network directly addressing the need for high-level training and career paths in Theoretical/Computational Chemistry with special emphasis on Computational Spectroscopy, which has become an important scientific pillar in chemical research. COSINE aims at devising novel theoretical tools and computational codes rooted in Electronic Structure Theory for the investigation of organic photochemistry to enable accurate simulation of spectroscopic experiments on the computer.
We engage 14 highly motivated, talented students with interest in theoretical and computational chemistry. The PhD projects of these students are conducted in close collaboration in between separate nodes in COSINE. Extended student secondments are performed in between COSINE nodes as well as to participating industrial partners. Our students are coherently trained in a series of workshops and topical schools.
