Band Events

Football Games

The marching band performs at all home football games as well as occasional playoff games. We are part of the friday night tradition at Issaquah and it is alot of fun to perform music and cheer on our football team! Most games start at 7pm, but we meet in the band room at 6pm. GO EAGLES!

Salmon Days Parade

This annual tradition of the Issaquah community on the first Saturday in October is not one to miss! All of the ISD marching bands participate in this parade every year. The parade starts on front street, turns left on Gilman and ends on 12th Avenue. Busses will be available at the end of the parade to transport students back to IHS.

Basketball Games

Both Concert Band and Wind Ensemble are responsible for perform in four basketball games each year in the high school's main gym. These dates will be determined as soon as the atheletic schedule is completed.

Solo and Ensemble Contest

This is an excellent way of showing off your musical skills. You can perform your own solo or put together an ensemble. If you win in your category, you represent Issaquah High School in State Competition.

Concerts

All of the ensembles at Issaquah High School perform at least two formal concerts a year. During the 2012-2013 school year ALL concerts sponsored by the IHS Band Department will be in Longman Performing Arts Center.

Swingin in Vienna

This unique annual event is hosted by the Issaquah High School Jazz Band and the ISD Evergreen Philharmonic. Each ensemble performs Big Band Jazz and Viennese Waltzes respectively, you also get instruction on how to dance! This year it will be on the 2nd Saturday of February.

Graduation

All band students are encouraged to perform in this special ceremony. There will be a couple of Wednesday morning rehearsals leading up to graduation. Keep checking the calendar for more information.
