Uniform Information

Pack 151 has two classifications for uniforms: “Class A” Field Uniform and “Class B” Activity Uniform.

  • Class A should be worn to all Pack events, unless otherwise notified.
  • Class B should be worn at all den meetings, activities and at Pack events where Class A is not required.
  • Uniform inspections are held throughout the year to ensure compliance with BSA rules.
  • Important Note: Only specific patches and badges can be attached to your child’s “Class A” Field Uniform. Special Event patches are considered “temporary patches” and may be worn temporarily by the Scout on their right pocket. You can use the BSA Guide to Awards and Insignia to understand proper patch placement. Please speak with your Den Leader if you have any questions regarding patch and badge placement.

“Class A” Field Uniform: Lion Scouts

  • Lion Scouts may wear their Lion t-shirt and Lion hat as their Class A uniform
  • Lions do not need the dress Class A uniform until the Scout earns his/ her neckerchief & slide.
  • Lions earn their neckerchief & slide when the Gadgets and Gizmos adventure has been completed. Once earned, the Pack will supply a neckerchief & slide to each Lion Scout, so do not purchase them from the Scout Shop.

“Class A” Field Uniform: Tiger, Wolf & Bear Scouts

Suggestion: When purchasing a uniform keep in mind how many years your child will wear this uniform. It is suggested to get the uniform 1-2 sizes larger in order to wear the uniform for a few years.

  • Dress Blue shirt with Suffolk County Council Patch and Pack number patches (1, 5, 1) on left sleeve, USA flag on top of right sleeve, World Crest & BSA ring above left pocket.
  • Dress blue pants/shorts
  • Cub Scout blue belt
  • Cub Scout rank neckerchief & slide:
  • The Pack supplies a neckerchief & slide to each Pack 151 Scout, so do not purchase them from the Scout Shop. NOTE: Lion Scouts do not receive their neckerchief until after the Gadgets and Gizmos adventure has been completed.
  • Cub Scout rank hat (each rank has its own hat that matches the neckerchief & slide)

“Class A” Field Uniform: Webelos Scouts

Suggestion: When purchasing a uniform keep in mind how many years your child will wear this uniform. It is suggested to get the uniform 1-2 sizes larger, as this is also the uniform that Scouts BSA wear.

  • Dress Tan shirt with Suffolk County Council Patch and Pack number patches (1, 5, 1) on left sleeve, USA flag on top of right sleeve, World Crest & BSA ring above left pocket.
  • Dress green pants/shorts
  • BSA green belt
  • Webelos neckerchief & slide:
  • The Pack supplies a neckerchief & slide to each Pack 151 Scout, so do not purchase them from the Scout Shop.
  • Webelos pin holder
  • Webelos rank hat

“Class B” Activity Uniform: For all Scouts

  • Pack 151 activity t-shirt
  • Scout Rank Hat
  • Pack 151 opens the "Class B" Store twice a year, in April and October
