Our friend and fellow pool Player Brad Jones passed away on March 19th 2024. We will have a tournament in his honor next year. We will miss you Brad.

 Our Friend and fellow pool Player David (Red) Nault from the VFW passed away on Tuesday March 26th. Red had been playing in the Ishpeming Pool League since it started in 1970 for a total of 54 years. We will have a tournament in his honor next year. We will miss you Red!

League tournament will be single elimination. Because of the BYE upper division teams will pay the first time they play. Lower division teams do not pay.

  The Gary Arseneau Memorial Doubles Tournament was  held on February 10th at the Royal.  28 players attended. 1st place honors went to Tony Norem and Brian DeMars from Jacks 1. 2nd Place, Joe Bauer and John Swanson from the Wayside. 3rd Place, Bob Prisk and Joe Prisk from the Tilden Club. Royal 1, Royal 2 and Riverside did not send representatives.

The Steve (Pengi)  Penala Memorial Singles Tournament was  held at the Royal on March 23. 24 players attended. First place honors went to Tony Norem from Jacks 1. 2nd place Noah Jones from Jacks 3. 3rd Place Rick Kjellman from the VFW. Good shooting everyone. Royal 1 and Royal 2 did not send representatives.

Passed away at his home on 12/10/23. We will have a tournament in his name this year. We will miss you Steve.

 Welcome back pool players. Its been a short summer. We gained a team this year lets welcome Royal 3 .This year money will be $5 per player for a total of $40 per team per night. 2 twenties would be nice. Envelopes will be dropped off at Jacks Teepee  on the night of pool. Bars will pay their $50 entry fee when it is convenient. This year we will start at 7:00 pm. If a team fails to show up by 7:15 (regular time, not bar time) then they shall forfeit. Lets make sure we get started by at least 7:15. At the meeting we decided that we will try Rack your own Break this year. Other leagues like it and no one can bitch about bad racks. Also we added a safety rule. Its not much different than it was before (calling the wrong pocket). A player calls safe . He must get a legal hit or Ball in Hand rules apply and cannot shoot again no matter what the outcome. Good luck to everyone. Lets have a good year.
