Ishani Tewari
Ph.D., Economics
Associate Professor & Chair, School of Business and Computer Science, Curry College
Hello! I am an Associate Professor in the School of Business and Computer Science at Curry College in Milton, MA where I have taught economics since 2016.
Trained as an applied microeconomist, my scholarly research has two streams. One focuses on growth and economic development, particularly issues related to gender. Another are is banking and finance. My work has been published several peer-reviewed journals like American Economic Journal: Applied, Economic Development and Cultural Change and Journal of Financial Services Research. You can learn more at my Research Page.
I also love being in the classroom. I teach courses in introductory macro and micro, financial markets and institutions as well as graduate-level economics and strategy. A special interest of mine is incorporating current events in my courses. One of the ways I do this is through podcasts and I share my ideas at audioecon.com. Here you can find a library of curated podcasts along with "Teaching Ideas"-- assignments, worksheets and other resources that I have authored. I also maintain a page "Current Events in the Classroom" where you will find links to a variety of l resources created by innovative economics instructors.
