The IQ Keyer Memory Manager application allows you to setup and use the CW message memories in the IQ Keyer. Download the zip file below which contains the executable for the Memory Manager App and the source code. The app was written in PureBasic a demo version is available for free so you can modify the app if you are inclined.
Getting Started
1. Download the zip file below, open it, then drag and drop the executable to your desktop.
2. Connect the USB port IQ Keyer to an available port on your PC.
3. Double-click on the IQ_Keyer icon to start the app. No installation is required.
4. The app will automatically search for and connect to the IQ Keyer, read the current memory values, speed and IQ level and start the GUI.
Using the Memory Manager App
Speed and Level - The CW speed and the IQ output level are controlled by knobs on the front of the IQ Keyer and diplayed on the GUI for operator convenience.
Sending a Message from Memory - Messages in memory 1 - 4 can be sent by pressing SEND next to the desired message
Sending Text - Enter characters to send by typing them in the TEXT field and pressing SEND to the right of the TEXT field. As you type, the number under TEXT will increase with the number of characters. Any characters after 62 will be truncated and not sent.
Storing Text to Memory - Type the text that you would like to store into the TEXT field, 62 characters max. Then press STORE1, STORE2, STOR2 or STORE4 to store the text in the corresponding message memory in the IQ Keyer.
Editing a Memory Message - Pressing MEM1, MEM2, MEM3 or MEM4 will place the corresponding memory message into the TEXT field where you can edit it, SEND it or STORE it in the original or other memory location.
Exiting the App - Press the X in the upper right corner of the screen to exit the app.
