The IQ Keyer Project

NEW!!! the IQ Keyer Arduino sketch has been updated to allow swapping the paddles and maintaining the dot memory

Welcome to the IQ Keyer project page. This is an Arduino based device for generating Morse code using:

    • a straight key
    • a CW paddle
    • text to CW from a computer via USB

In addition to conventional keying output designed to drive the CW input on commercial or home-brew transceivers, the IQ Keyer provides quadrature audio sinewave outputs designed to drive the audio I and Q inputs  of Software Defined Radios (SDR) like the HobbyPCB RS-HFIQ or the Five Dash Softrock RXTX Ensemble. Unlike generating CW using a computer and sound card to drive the SDR, the IQ Keyer can use traditional CW keying hardware and produce zero-latency CW using a SDR.

The IQ Keyer Kit is now available at the HobbyPCB website.
