Plot Burial Pricing

F. Fees, Charges, and Payments:

The following fees are as of October 4, 2022, and maybe subject to change without notice to conform to current economic conditions.

Spaces in Section N (North Section) - one (1) burial space $400.00

Spaces in Center Section (between the north and south driveways) - one (1) burial space $300.00

All remaining spaces in the Cemetery – one (1) burial space $250.00

Layout and supervision of grave marking $ 30.00

Layout and supervision of Urn marking $ 30.00

Urn opening performed by a Woodland Cemetery Association Board Member $300.00

Deeds – extra copies or transfers $ 5.00

All fees should be paid to the order of the Woodland Cemetery Association.

1. The fee for Lot’s and/or burial space(s) shall be paid directly to the Woodland Cemetery Association.

2. The fees of opening a grave are to be handled by/through the funeral director/individual coordinating the funeral and are paid directly to the Woodland Cemetery Association.

3. The fees for the layout and/or supervision of grave markings shall be paid directly to the Woodland Cemetery Association.

4. The fees for an Urn opening performed by a Woodland Cemetery Association Board Member shall be paid to the Woodland Cemetery Association.

5. The fees for deeds: extra copies or transfer of ownership shall be paid to the Woodland Cemetery Association.

6. Purchase of a cemetery lot/plot before the need arises, is wise and strongly recommended.

7. Feel free to consult with the Sexton or ask any executive board member about possible areas that are available.

8. Memorials and donations are always welcome. Checks should be made payable to: Woodland Cemetery Association and mailed to PO Box 43, Maxwell, Iowa 50161:

Woodland Cemetery Association meetings are held on the first Tuesday during the months of April, May, June, September, and October at 7:00 PM. Please contact any board member to determine the exact location of each meeting.
