October 2005 - September 2010: PhD studies in Computer Science at the STI Innsbruck, University of Innsbruck, under the supervision of Univ-Prof. Dr. Dieter Fensel.
PhD Dissertation: Modelling and Ranking Semantic Web Services Based on Non-Functional Properties
In this thesis we developed ontological model for the most representative non-functional properties of services. Furthermore, we developed a set of ranking algorithms for Semantic Web services that uses non-functional properties descriptions.
October 2002 - June 2003: Advanced postgraduated studies (M.S.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Automatics and Computer Science, Computer Science Department, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, under the supervision of Univ-Prof. Dr. Ioan Alfred Letia.
Advanced postgraduate studies (M.S.) in Computer Science and Engineering thesis: Using Neural Network ensemble based on selective techniques to optimize a Semantic Perceptron Net classifier
The thesis proposes an approach to construct a better Semantic Perceptron Net (SPN) used for topic spotting by applying a learning paradigm call: selective neural network ensembling based on genetic algorithms.
1997 - 2002: Diplomat Engineer (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Automatics and Computer Science, Computer Science Department, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, under the supervision of Univ-Prof. Dr. Ioan Alfred Letia.
Engineer Diploma (B.Sc.) thesis: Discriminative models for topic spotting from text documents
The thesis proposes and implements optimization of a text classifier called Semantic Perceptron Net built using neural networks by applying the theory of Minimum Classification Error/Generalized Probabilistic Descent.
