Intro to Academic Writing for ESOL

Welcome to this OER course redesign project for ESOL 162, Level 6 Academic Writing at Portland Community College. This Google Site, the syllabus, the schedule, homework page, creative writing journal and any links herein were organized as part of a grant from Open Oregon, a resource for OER established by Oregon's Higher Education Coordination Commission: Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development. The units of the book and the slideshow were not included in the grant funding and were created for fun.

Note: The OER Textbook Second Edition is now available!

The materials here were selected for ESOL learners who have intermediate to high-intermediate writing skills and are starting more academic levels of coursework in order to transition into college-level composition courses.
