WHY FIT AN INTERCOOLER TEMPERATURE GAUGE?

This Intercooler Temperature gauge allows you to monitor your intake air temperatures before/after your intercooler. It monitors the temperature of the charged (or forced) air entering the plenum/intercooler prior to ignition.

Particularly on turbocharged cars, the colder the air, the denser the charge creating more power. By fitting the gauge, you can see exactly how effective mods like bigger intercoolers or ducting have on the incoming and outgoing air temperatures.

ICT gauges are particularly useful on cars with adjustable boost. If the temps are too high, you can turn down the boost to save your engine. Likewise, if the gauge is showing lower temperatures, then you know it’s safe to crank up the boost (as long as the ECU has been mapped to manage the fuel and ignition requirements of the extra boost).

The gauge allows you to see how efficiently your intercooler or charge cooler is working and also gives you warning should charge temperatures reach dangerous levels, allowing you to avoid situations where detonation may occur.

What the kit contains
