The Interboro Community Band is a musical ensemble composed primarily of adults. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30–9:00 pm in the band room at Westborough High School and perform a concert at the conclusion of each trimester.
Members register for the trimesters in which they plan to participate and pay a fee to help cover the band's expenses. There is no audition, but we expect members to be comfortable playing at a high school level or above.
Registration for each trimester closes three weeks before the trimester begins. This is roughly mid to late August for the fall trimester, late November for the winter trimester, and early March for the spring trimester. This allows us to finalize our membership, prepare seating, and have music and other rehearsal materials ready for everyone at the start of the trimester. Because these preparations are completed in advance, we are generally unable to add new members once a trimester is underway.
If you are interested in joining, please contact us before attending a rehearsal. Prospective members are welcome to arrange a rehearsal visit if they would like to experience the band before deciding whether to join. A visit can take place during any current trimester, with registration for a future trimester.
