Recently, leading organizations have gained competitive advantages on the basis of data and technology. Even if data are available in abundance (often in real time) from various processes in the organizations and new technologies have quickly emerged, there is still a lack of new approaches for utilizing those data and technologies as enablers for enhanced decision making in the organizations. Especially, technologies advances quickly, yet organizations and skills tend to move at a slower pace.
Thus, inventing effective organization is the big challenge for us. The Supply Chain Optimization & Analysis (SCOA) Lab in the Graduate School of Logistics at the Inha University helps organizations (firms, governments, etc.) adapt to new ways of decision making in their supply chains. The SCOA Lab. focuses on various researches which can combine big data, new technology, and existing methodologies such as mathematical programming, multi-criteria decision-making, etc.
The typical research topics are as follows:
- (Technology & Methodology) Development of framework and models for a new technology based (or driven) process analysis & optimization
- (Data & Methodology) Decision-making using various quantitative and qualitative big data collected from supply chains
The SCOA Lab. is collaborating closely with various experts from academia and industrial fields, and will continue to find broad application within various supply chains.
