The California Teachers Association exists to protect and promote the well-being of its members; to improve the conditions of teaching and learning; to advance the cause of free, universal, and quality public education; to ensure that the human dignity and civil rights of all children and youth are protected; and to secure a more just, equitable, and democratic society.
You have a question, concern, or need representation? No problem! Let FVEA leadership help you! FVEA members need to follow the process below in order to expedite their FVEA support and create a knowledge base among all FVEA leadership.
1. Research your own issue. Your first line of support is your contract. All members who signed up for FVEA’s Constant Contact emails will be emailed an electronic version of the contract. The contract is also available on the FVSD and FVEA websites. All Site Representatives have a hard copy of the contract. Look in the contract to see if you can find the answer to your question or concern.
2. Seek help from one of you FVEA Site reps. Your Site Rep can help you navigate the contract and knows who to contact to seek further help. See your Site Rep or email them using personal email, not school email, to set up a time to discuss the issue.
3. FVEA TK-5, 6-8 Rep at Large and or/Executive Board will be contacted by your Site Rep for further assistance if he/she is unable to answer the question, concern, or issue. Your Site Rep will get back to you with the information and the next steps.
