I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in 5-12 Industrial Education. Before accepting the Industrial Technology position at Maquoketa CSD, I taught Ind. Tech. for 9 years in the Lawton-Bronson CSD. Through the 9 years I have also coached many sports. I started as the Lawton-Bronson middle school boys basketball coach for 1 year, then transfered to the middle school girls basketball coach for 4 years. I then got offered a 9th grade boys basketball position at Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD and coached there for 2 years.
During the fall months, I coached high school volleyball for 4 years at Lawton-Bronson and then volunteered as a cross country coach for 4 years at Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
I do not let the spring months slip by. I was the junior high girls track coach for 7 years.
In October of 2012, I took and passed my bus driver's license.
I started teaching at Maquoketa CSD in the 2013-2014 school year. I am currently one of the 8th grade football coaches, the 8th grade boys basketball coach, and the 8th grade boys track coach.
During the summer of 2015, I was trained at Iowa State University to teach the Project Lead the Way course of Design and Modeling at the middle school level. The following summer(2016) I went to the University of Illinois to be trained to teach the Project Lead the Way course of Energy and Environment.
In the winter of 2017, I graduated from Walden University with my Masters in 5-8 Mathematics.
