I work on foundational questions in philosophy of language and mind, especially on our linguistic and normative practices and related mental capacities.  I'm currently writing a book about the nature of linguistic meaning.

I also have interests in metaphysics, epistemology, metaethics, philosophy of law, philosophy of games and sport, and the history of 20th-century analytic philosophy (esp. Wittgenstein).

I completed my Ph. D. at the University of Southern California in 2014. Afterward, I worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Rice University, completed Postdoctoral Fellowships at Institut Jean Nicod and University of Barcelona, and taught at the University of Edinburgh. Currently, I have a research grant from the Austrian Science Foundation (FWF) and work at the University of Vienna.
