Rural Retreat High School Weight Room Project

The weight benches and racks were outdated. 

Each rack was different with plates and bars that were accumulated over the years.

Used racks, dumbbells, and machines were donated from local businesses. 

Pictures from July of 2018:

Phase I of our weight room project begins. 

Trustees from the Wythe County Sheriff's Office come in to paint the walls and ceiling.

Initial clean up of old equipment begins.

Pictures from July/August 2018:

Phase I continues with new half racks, plates, and bars being delivered and assembled. 

Before school starts in August Phase I is completed.

Pictures from October 2018:

Phase II of weight room project is completed. 

More half racks, plates, and bars are added. 

Two sets of dumbbells and kettle bells, as well as plyometric boxes are added.

Pictures from January 2019:

Phase III of the weight room project is completed. 

Bumper plates are added to every rack.
