The lectures will be held at the "Sala del Consejo Universitario" in the Main Building of the Autonomous University of Yucatan (UADY), Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The address is: Calle 60 No. 491-A por 57, Centro Histórico, 97000 Mérida, Yucatan, Tel. 01 999 930 0900.

Although Merida is 1,510 Km from Mexico City, it is very easy get there:

• • By air to Merida: the International Airport Manuel Crescencio Rejón is just 15 minutes from the center of Merida. A flight from Mexico City takes approximately 40 minutes. 

  • By coach: it takes approximately 20 hours from Mexico City. The coaches depart from Terminal de Autobuses Poniente Oriente (TAPO), Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza 200, Colonia 10 de mayo, Distrito Federal. 

  • By Air to Cancun: it takes approximately 3 hours from Cancun International Airport.

Merida's climate is warm and humid with maximum and minimum temperatures of 33°C and 18°C respectively.

The rainy season is from June to October.
