Even with a help of google, finding out information we really need such as physical properties, availabilities, antibodies and references takes a long time. GFP wiki (I love GFP) aims to promote sharing of information and know-how about fluorescent proteins and genetically encoded probes. Contents of this site can only be edited by members, but are open to anyone in the world. If you would like edit access, please contact us.

たくさんありすぎてどれが一番いいのか分からない、レビューもあるけどすぐに情報が古くなる、実験に必要な情報（入手方法や抗体など）がない・・・。
そんな時の参考になるように世界中の蛍光タンパクユーザーが集まって情報をアップデートして交換できるwikiを作りました。
このサイトの方針(暫定)
使える情報をどんどん書き込んでオープンにする（オープンにしていい情報を書く）。
ページに書く情報はで客観的な事実を書き、情報ソースを明らかにする。
アタッチメントには補足情報（配列やスペクトルなど）を添付する。できるだけ正確を期する。
コメント欄には主観的な情報（使いやすい、使いにくい、とか。）を書き込んでもいい。
基本的に編集してくれる人を信頼していますが、不適切と判断したコメントについては削除する可能性があります。
