Independence Day 2017

15th of August is very important day in the history of India. It was on this day in 1947 that India became independent.India won freedom after a hard struggle. On this day India's first Prime Minister - Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru unfurled the National Flag at the Red Fort for the first time to mark the occasion.

The Future School celebrated this day with great enthusiasm. The Head-Mistress hoisted the national flag in the school premises at 9:00 AM. All the students and teachers saluted the flag and then sang the National Anthem. An Impressive speech was given by the Head-Mistress on the importance of the day and educated the students to realize how hard it was to attain freedom.

There was great enthusiasm among students. The Program was then followed by the patriotic songs, both by the teachers and the students. The students also spoke about the importance of Independence Day and about the great leaders who fought for Independence.

The cabinet members of the students were sworn on this day. The School Pupil Leader, Asst. Pupil Leader, Sports captain and House captains were given the badges. The students who stood first and second in class during the First Formative Assessment were awarded with the badges.

It was great fun and also great pride for all the teachers and the students to be at school on Independence Day. The celebrations concluded with distribution of sweets to the participants.
