Freedom in the Mind,

Faith in the words …

Pride in our souls …

Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

The Great day is dawn with bright future of hope for tomorrow as 15thAugust, 1947, the day is etched out in the minds and hearts of all Indians. India gained freedom after years of struggle against the British Rule. Independence Day is a moment of pride and glory. On this special occasion Future School feels proud to pay homage to the freedom fighters like Gandhi, Nehru, Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Sarojini Naidu amongst others, who fought selflessly for the freedom our Mother land.

The ceremony started at 9 AM. The programme began with the march past, the Chief Guest Mr.P.Janaki Ram, senior knowledge manager, Center for Good Governance, was brought in the campus with high regards by the students of Classes IX and VIII.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and a tyrant as the patriotism is the virtue of the vicious”. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of freedom.

Light symbolizes the divine presence of God. Down though the ages our Indian tradition teaches us light brings life and hope. The Chief Guest, Head Mistress, and the senior teachers lighted the lamp.

The Head Mistress, Ms.Asiya Begum introduced welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. She also spoke on the importance of the occasion. The students were all focused.

The Chief Guest speech was very inspirational; he motivated the students towards the right path of success.

The programme began with a musical rendition by class I students (with the underline theme being saluting our motherland). Followed by a musical ballet depicting different facets of our glorious freedom struggle.

The participants spell bound the audience with their performance and also energized them with patriotic fervor.

Surya Teja of IX Standard shared his views on the significance of the day. The students of IX & VII Standard sang the Patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land. The Chief Guest of the function Mr.P.Janaki ram said, “he is happy to notice that today’s students think about the freedom and it is necessary to inculcate within us. The true freedom means when we make our country corruption free.”

To keep alive the flame of patriotism, the students from classes I to X performed patriotic dances and songs that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our motherland.

Theresa and Navya Sree of class IX compeered the program. Arbaz of IX Standard, Sai Varsha of VII standard shared their views on the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the day. Arbaz of class VIII proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated everyone for their wholehearted co-operation while the Head Mistress, presented a memento to the chief guest as a token of gratitude.

At the end sweets were distributed to the students. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
