IC 7100 , belong to three
different generation technology and they are different in
features and above all in price.

Icom Ic 775 for the radio telegrapher.

A wonderful radio, robust, with a charm that is missing in the latest
generation of what I would call plasticone.
All the main controls are at your fingertips, stands the large main
VFO knob and the most 'small secondary,
the huge screen and the s-meter, we also have two menu', but the s
ettings are for that then after a time normally
do not touch more ', the radio and' remarkable simplicity 'operations.
The use of double receiver is balanced by a knob with which we can
listen to two different frequencies on the same band, very useful for

Un apparato imponente ed elegante , di color scuro antracite,
forse anche per esaltare meglio un bellissimo display color
giallo ocra e un meraviglioso ed enorme s-meter analogico.
Oltre 200W di potenza il mio arriva a 230!
due ricevitori indipendenti nello stesso modo , con due manopole
di VFO distintte,accordatore d'antenna e alimentatore entocontenuti
tantissime funzioni essenziali per il traffico dx:
Doppio PBT.
Filtri a cristallo selezionabili da pannello frontale.
Filtro IF Notch manuale automatico.
APF.
AGC regolabile in continuita'
Due preamplificatori di antenna,
Uscita per 2 antenne selezionabili a piacimento
Keyer
100 Memorie
NR regolabile.
DSP.
Una meravigliosa radio,robusta con un fascino particolare che
manca in quelle di ultima generazione che oserei definire plasticone.
Tutti i comandi principali sono a portata di mano, spicca la grande
manopola del VFO principale e la piu' piccola secondaria, l'enorme
schermo e lo s-meter, abbiamo anche due menu', ma sono per i
settaggi che poi dopo una volta, normalmente non si toccano piu',
la radio e' di notevole semplicita' operativa.
L'uso del doppio ricevitore viene bilanciato da una manopola con
la quale possiamo ascoltare due frequenze diverse sulla stessa
banda, molto utile per i contest e DX, i 200W e oltre sono molto
utili per avere quella piccola spinta in piu' anche senza l'uso di un
Amplificatore Lineare.
E' difficile trovare difetti o mancanze in questo meraviglioso apparato..
solo uno dei motori dell' l'accordatore automatico dopo 12 anni si è fermato.
Subito dopo l'Icom presentera' l'Icom IC-756 che di fatto', ha piu' o
meno lo stesso ricevitore dell' Icom 775, ma non la sua bellezza.
Poi l'Icom abbandonera' per sempre la tecnologia classica per affidarsi
a radio completamente DSP con filtri digitali e cioe' con l'Icom 756PRO
e fino alla versione Pro III, ma con tutti i vantaggi e svantaggi, che
questa soluzione avrà nel mercato degli apparati Radioamatoriali.

Tante funzioni in poco spazio
Tante funzioni in poco spazio
E' sorprendente come una radio (HF + VHF + UHF), di queste dimensioni possa offrire così tanto.
Demodulatore RTTY incorporato, ottimo DSP, ottimo display (considerando le dimensioni), un valido
band scope, (anche se non in tempo reale), 300 memorie con testo alfanumerico.

HI everybody
This video is not a competition since the ICOM transceivers,
appreciated by HAM RADIO all over the world; IC 756 pro III,
IC 7700 and the last jewel by ICOM IC 7851, belong to three
different generation technology and they are different in
features and above all in price.
For receiving we use only one homebrew speaker switching
in action the three transceivers.
Early we use the noise reduction and bandwidth of 2400 KHz.
At the end of the video we like to underline the excellent
IC 7851 pass band filter at 1.2 kHz not available in the other
two transceivers and a fast spectrum scope making IC 7851
one of the best if not the best ttransceiver on the market.
