I didn't always like Biology. When I went to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, I decided I should give Biology another try since I did not enjoy it in High School; I wanted to do something that I felt uncomfortable with. And I am glad I did! I majored in Cellular and Molecular Biology and did research at a lab for 2 years before realizing that I really enjoy working with young people.
After college, I pursued my Masters in Science Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. I graduated with a MA in 2006 and worked for 7 years at the International High School at Prospect Heights before moving to my new home: the International HS for Health Sciences.
In my free time, I like to run to Juniper Valley Park, try new foods, and read!
