I am recently getting back to working with the ultrawideband technology, with a 10 year gap after finishing my Ph.D. It seems to have left well behind the deep bottom of the hype cycle now.

We will be receiving four P410 kits from Time Domain, Inc. soon. They support an ultra wide transmission bandwidth of 2.2 Ghz, between the frequency range of 3.1 GHz to 5.3 GHz band. I initially hope to do channel sounding in a wide variety of scenarios, for our NSF project.

We may explore ranging and radar applications in the future too. Time Domain's website offer plenty of information for possible use case scenarios.
