This is Coach Chris' 19th year as head coach of the Sailfish.  Chris previously coached at the Beavercreek YMCA from 2003 to 2013.  He has coached at the Coffman YMCA swim team at the Fairborn YMCA training site from 2013 to present as the lead coach for the Green group.  Chris is the head coach for the Beavercreek High School swim team as well.


This is Chris' 25th year coaching competitive swimming.  He has coached in the Cleveland and Greater Dayton area since 1993.  Chris is originally from Fairview Park, Ohio.  He was the MVP and captain of Fairview High School swim team his junior and senior year.  He also swam for Lake Shore Swim Club (LSSC) in Rocky River, Ohio.  


Chris is a 1998 graduate of Wright State University and has a Bachelor's of Education in Physical Education and Health.  He is currently an adapted physical education specialist for the Fairborn City School District.  Chris resides in Fairborn with his girlfriend, Julia, and his daughters, Mackenzie and Brynn.  Mackenzie (13), Brynn (10), and Julia's daughter, Mallory (15) all swim for Idle Hour swim team.


Chris prides himself on coaching all swimmers important fundamentals in which they can build their swimming skills as they get older.  He believes swimming should be "FUN" and provides a stable environment for the young people that he coaches.







SAM BOTT

Sam is 20 years old and just completed his Junior year of college at Wittenberg University.  While at Witt, Sam is earning a degree in "Environmental Science".  He is also a member of the Wittenberg Swim & Dive team.  Sam has been swimming since he was five years old and specializes in distance Freestyle and distance IM.  







MORGAN SIEFERT

Morgan will be a Senior at Wittenberg University this Fall where she is majoring in Sports Management with minors in Business and Sociology. She is a member of the water polo team at Wittenberg and also the captain of their swim team.  This is Morgan's third year coaching for Idle Hour. In the Winter, she coaches for the Springfield YMCA swim team.  

Morgan swam for the Beavercreek and Coffman YMCA swim teams. She also swam for the Pinecrest swim team in Xenia for 7 years and the Idle Hour swim team for 2.  Morgan has an internship this Summer at WPAFB so she will be coaching evening practices.

Renae will be a Senior at Carroll High School this Fall.  She is captain of the Carroll swim team and has been swimming for Idle Hour since she was 4 years old.  Renae was a member of Beavercreek YMCA, KCST, and now swims for the Coffman YMCA.  This is her first year coaching and she is looking forward to a great season!

Peyton has been a competitive swimmer for ten years and currently swims for the Coffman Family YMCA and the Beavercreek High School Swim & Dive Team, competing at the State and National level.  This Fall, she will be a Junior at Beavercreek High School.  Her goal as a coach is to create a prosperous and exciting environment that inspires young athletes to work hard and have fun!

Jackie is originally from Tiffin, Ohio where she grew up around the pool.  She participated in competitive swimming from 4 years old to 18 years old.  She swam for the Tiffin Community YMCA, Tiffan Columbian High School, and also a club team in the Summers.  As part of her passion for swimming she also taught swim lessons for five years and was an assistant coach for a club team for 2 years.

After high school, Jackie went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Wittenburg University where she met her husband Mike.  She went on to earn her Master's degree from the University of Cincinnati.  She has been a high school Math teacher for Beavercreek City Schools for the last 13 years.  

Now that her two children, Scarlett (8) and Nolan (5), have fallen in love with Idle Hour Swim Team she thought now would be a good time to reconnect her love for the water.  She hopes to help children stay active, have fun and gain confidence in their lives through the sport of swimming.

Braeden will be a Freshman at Ohio University this Fall where he will be majoring in Aviation Flight and Management.  He was the captain of the Beavercreek Swim Team and has been swimming for 13 years.  This is his 1st year coaching at Idle Hour and he is looking forward to the Summer season!
