FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • HOW DO I CHANGE MY WILL-CALL TICKET?

Bring proof of purchase - the email confirmation is perfect - with ticket ID # (8 digit number that starts with 7) and the name it was purchased under to the gate. THIS IS ONLY FOR WILL-CALL TICKETS.

  • CAN I BRING MY DOG?

NO. Dogs are not allowed at deCOMP. Service dogs are allowed, but you must pre-register your dog with either Nurse Jessica or Connie Hendricks before arriving at the gate. Email idahoburners@gmail.com to pre-register your SERVICE dog. You will be turned away at the gate if you show up with a dog that has not been pre-registered.

  • CAN I BRING MY COOL HAND-HELD LASER POINTER?

NO. Lasers are dangerous, yes even those you got online that say they are safe. Leave the lasers to professionals and leave yours at home. If you don't believe us, read this:

There's a Black Dot in the Middle of Everything I see

  • I WANT TO BRING BIG SOUND, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

Awesome! We love music! If you will have amplified sound that can be heard outside of your personal camp, then you are a SOUND CAMP and need to be registered and placed in a location that doesn't interfere with other Sound Camps. Click on the Art & Theme Camp tab for more information, and fill this out: Theme and Sound Camp Application

  • ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

YES! Our baby burners are integral to Idaho Decompression and are welcome and encouraged. As parents we also understand the need for "adult" time, so we have set up a zone where under 18 are not allowed. Ages 12 and under are free to attend, ages 13-17 pay a discounted Teen rate of $25 - all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and we will require proof of relationship at the gate (birth certificate or guardianship papers).

  • ARE RVs ALLOWED?

Yes, although the road can be brutal on your rig, it's rough and washboardy most of the way, so drive carefully. No parking passes are required, but we do require that you baffle your generator, and vent it UP and not into your neighbors tent. Easy to do with some dryer hose attached to the exhaust.

  • CAN I BRING MY FIREPAN?

NO. Early October is still fire season and the forest is super dry. Decomp will provide burn barrels and wood at public areas, but we cannot allow personal fire pans that don't meet our specs. We are real dicks about this rule because we love our forests, and we don't want to do anything to damage our relationship with the County and State fire officials. Propane heating devices ARE allowed - please operate responsibly and consider adding a carbon monoxide detector to your camping kit.

  • I'M A DJ - HOW DO I GET ON THE MAIN STAGE SCHEDULE?

We don't have a main stage. Hook up with a Sound Camp, or start your own! We'd love to hear you play.
