History of ICTSS
Initially, this series had the name: the International Workshop for Protocol Test Systems (IWPTS). Nine workshops took place:

IWPTS'94: Tokyo, Japan, Nov. 1994

In 1997 it became the International Workshop on Testing of Communicating Systems (IWTCS). There were three workshops:
IWTCS'97: Cheju Island, Korea, Sept. 1997
IWTCS'98: Tomsk, Russia, Aug.-Sept. 1998
IWTCS'99: Budapest, Hungary, Sept. 1999
From 2000 the conference was called the International Conference on Testing of Communicating Systems (TESTCOM). The conference locations have been as follows:

Before 2007, Formal Approaches to Testing (FATES) was a separate event:
The 1st FATES was held in affiliation with CONCUR 2001 in Aalborg, Denmark
The 2nd FATES in affiliation with CONCUR 2002 in Brno, Czech Republic
In 2003, FATES was held in affiliation with ASE in Montreal, Canada
In 2004 with ASE in Linz, Austria
In 2005 in conjunction with CAV 2005, Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 2006 again with CAV and together with the Workshop on Runtime Verification as FATES/RV
