Can’t View SharePoint 2010 List in Datasheet View?

A 64-bit version of the Datasheet component is not available for Office 2010 and the reason why we cannot view a SharePoint list in Datasheet View after you install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office 2010.

When we are in the All Items page and click the Datasheet View, as illustrated above, we will be prompted by the following error message:

Now, what are the workarounds? Microsoft Support site is recommending the following methods:

1. If a 64-bit version of Office 2010 is not required in our business, install the 32-bit version.

2. If a 64-bit version of Office 2010 is required in our business, install the2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components.

Lastly, you have to take note of the following:

1. If we will use the method 2 above, we need to install first all necessary 64-bit version of Office products before you install the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components. Else, we will be prompted by the following error message:

2. Editing in Datasheet component is not supported using a 64-bit version of an Internet Explorer.
