Use of discussion board

• Each week, one or more discussion questions will be posted. For each discussion question, students must post at least one “primary response” (directly answering a discussion question) and two secondary responses (responses to other students’ posts).

• Discussion boards performance count 10% of your total grade.

• Primary responses are due by 11:59 pm every Thursday, secondary responses are due by 11:59 pm on Sunday.

• Responses are graded as a combination of quality and quantity. Students should provide references when feasible, and refrain from publishing opinion when facts are appropriate.

• Students should be polite and respectful to each other as many different cultures are often represented in a class. Feel free to challenge other students and the instructor, but do it in a respectful manner
