LIBRARY BORROWING RULES

1. Borrowing Entitlement

• Students: Allowed to borrow 4 books at a time.

• Faculty Members: May have higher borrowing privileges as per departmental norms (please refer to faculty borrowing policy).

2. Loan Period

• Each book is issued for a period of 15 days from the date of issue.

3. Renewal Policy

• Books can be renewed once only, for an additional 15 days.

• Renewal is subject to availability (i.e., the book must not be on hold/reserved by another user).

4. Overdue Fines

• A fine of ₹2 per day per book is charged for overdue items.

• Accumulated fines must be cleared before further borrowing.

5. General Guidelines

• Books must be returned in good condition.

• Users are responsible for any damage or loss of borrowed materials.

• Loss of books must be reported immediately; replacement or fine as per library policy will apply.

• Library staff reserve the right to recall any book before the due date if needed.
