Welcome to Day 6
Opening Prayer
It is good to serve you, it is good to trust you, it is good to worship you, it is good to believe in you, it is good to love you, it is good to be your child, it is good to be fathered by you, it is good to be loved by you. We open our heart wide to learn from you and unlearn every ungodly wisdom we have taken in. We receive your word into our heart and we believe them in Jesus' name.
Discussion
Tonight we will be discussing Ps 91: 1-2 which we have reserved till the last.
Ps 91 (AMP)
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
2 things we are admonished to do (a) Dwell (b) Say
These are things we need to do and all these blessings discussed will be ours. These 2 things are connected, dwelling in his shelter will cause us to trust Him to the point where we start to say. I will try to give a non-religious definition of dwelling in the secret place.
(a) Dwell: dwell to me means to have our thoughts and actions filtered through God's Word. We don’t just run this check when we want to take a big decision; we are used to checking our heart for any contradiction before taking a step. That point where Jesus is your Lord, where His Word has the final authority. You don’t argue with His perspective. When He convinces you of something, you start to make adjustment because you dwell, live with him. You've pitched your tent with Him. You tabernacle with Him. Your heart is His home.
(b) Say: this covenant is voice-activated there is never a time you join others to say you are unsafe. You say out loud to yourself till it enters your heart that God is your refuge and keeper; you say to yourself that you will trust in God. You boldly declare that the blood of Jesus protects you. I believe we should make declarations about our protections every day as often time as is needed before it gets inside our heart. Saying is bidirectional, we say till it gets into our heart, also we meditate in our heart till we start to say.
What makes saying powerful?
(1) Bible says Angels harken to the voice of God's Word:
Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. When we say His Word, angels carry these words and start to work on them to bring them to pass.
(2) Life and death is in the power of our tongue: Proverbs 18:21-23 King James Version (KJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Do not only use your tongue to speak life but also use it to speak death. Speak life to your mind and every organ of your body. Speak death to every plan set to hurt you, to every sickness and disease trying to inhabit your body. SPEAK LIFE & SPEAK DEATH because the 2 are in your mouth.
