Chapter Summary:
You are not going to receive any final deliverance or help without developing your own faith and your own prayer life. However, always remember you are God's favorite! God loves you! He hears you when you pray! and He answers!
Now let’s dig deeper
Previous chapters have encouraged us to turn our face to the wall, turn away from distractions and call upon God; but sometimes ignorance, guilt, fear, inferiority complex, etc. leave us wondering if it is in our place to call to God. We may think our pastors are more worthy, God will answer that spiritual sister in church quicker or He loves Bro Hagin more. But the truth is that God is no respecter of persons.
God's word, which is the final authority says You Can!!! You too can turn your face to the wall
You can call upon God
God will hear you
God loves you
God doesn't love one person any more or any less than He loves another person, because He's no
respecter of persons.
Acts 10:34-35 (MSG) "Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open"
Acts 10:34-35 (NIV) "Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right"
Acts 10:34-35 (KJV) "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him"
God does not have any favorite child, every one of us is His favorite! He loves you just as He loves your pastor; He belongs to you as much as He belongs to me! It is because of Jesus that you are God's favorite!
It is in the same vein that God's promises are Yes and Amen to everyone that believes.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT) "For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory."
Mark 16:17-18 (NLT) "These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
God is your God, you are accepted in Jesus, He hears you when you pray, and He answers. Halleluyah!!!
