WELCOME NOTE: I SEE A VICTORY
Thank you for joining us for our first bible study this year. I am Ayokunle Olagoke, the lead facilitator for this event. There are many other things you could be doing this very moment and many other groups you could have joined, but you have chosen to be here. We are happy and we do not take your presence, time and participation for granted at all. On behalf of the Friends Bible Study (FBS) team, I welcome you.
This is an event like never before. We believe God will ignite hope in our hearts at this event. Our central theme is I SEE A VICTORY and our primary study book is “Turning Hopeless Situations Around” by Kenneth Hagin. At this event, our eyes will be open to see the victory Jesus has won for us. What we see is very important because what we see is who we become (2Cor3:18). Do you see yourself dancing with your grandkids? Do you see a clean bill of health? We may have gotten used to some “not so good” things in our lives that we don’t even know they are there anymore, but God wants us to see VICTORY in those areas. Please take this event very seriously and you will see in your life the VICTORY God has made for you. Those that put their trust in God will not be put to shame (Ps 125:1)
Event agenda
In-depth discussions on the 6 chapters of the book Turning Hopeless Situations Around
Testimonies: on days when we do not have discussions, we will be sharing links to testimonies in 4 key areas- finance, health, protection and salvation of the soul. Rev 19:10 says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. A testimony is a written or spoken record of what Jesus has done. If we share testimonies less, we expect them less, if we expect them less, we see them less. A testimony is an invitation into the move of God.
Prayer: we are inviting you to join us on the last day of the event as we pray together on Saturday, March 28 at 6p.m Nigeria time on Mixlr.
Resources: We will be sharing more resources in form of songs, testimonies and more. We believe that this will be a season of immersion into the revelation of the VICTORY God has given us.
How to maximize these teachings
Be expectant: expectation draws out virtue from Jesus (the expectation of the righteous will not be cut off- prov 23:18). Erase every thought of impossibility from your heart. Expect God to speak to you, stir your heart, and give you an idea.
Be sensitive: God will speak through people to you during this study time, be sensitive.
Identify at least one area of your life where you want to see victory and think of that area as you read through the teachings. Maybe yours is your health- you want to be able to bend your knees; maybe you know God wants you to leave the country and you are stuck on one of the stages because of finance; it could be that you just want a fresh idea in your business, set at least one thing before you.
Decide to read all the teaching notes and scriptures with an open heart
Pray as you follow the teachings that you will encounter God personally
Participate, comment, ask questions and INVITE your friends.

Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for your presence here because we are more than 2 and we are gathered in your name. We set our hope on you. We trust you that our eyes will be opened to see the VICTORY you have won for us. You will open our eyes to see that rod in our hand, which is the victory we have been waiting for. You will make us see that forgiving that person is the victory to our constant illness; how that puff-puff we are selling by the side could be the victory you’ve given us over poverty; how our teenage children we consider to be stubborn could be demonstrating unique abilities, open our eyes to see that same scripture we’ve been reading is our victory over the fear of death. The widow of Zarephath did not know that her obedience to feed Elijah was her victory over poverty until God made her to see it. We will see the victory you have provided to save our homes, businesses and nation. We give you permission to come and flood our hearts with the light of your Word in Jesus name. Amen.
