One of my favorite everyday activities is playing the Guitar & the Piano.
Sports are a great way of getting your everyday dose of Adrenaline. I especially enjoy skiing and climbing.
I enjoy the company of animals, it's a great way for relieving stress. (His name is Ice, by the way).
Participating in Hackathons and all sorts of brain teasers. (In the picture: giving my pitch talk about our autonomous drone parking assistant. Won 1st place)
Some volunteering activities:
I am currently working on an independent project that aims to expose, mainly, high school Arab students to Computer Science and its variety of different fields, work places, and opportunities.
I have also volunteered in multiple events and activities in recent years, for example:
- I helped organize the Computer Science delegation to the university's annual Science Day (both in 2015 and 2016), I also presented some of my research work at this event.
- I have volunteered as the Computer Science Department graduate program representative for the University's open day (2015).
- Me and my partner, Soliman Nasser, have volunteered multiple times to represent our CS department in an event held for the Haifa University investors committee.
- I am in charge of a students seminar called "Theory in Computer Science" at the Haifa University, in which we invite CS students from various universities to give an open lecture about their research.
The purpose of this seminar is both to let students practice their speaking and presentation skills, and also to give undergraduates and fresh graduates the opportunity to learn about all the different
research areas of Computer Science.
- In my free time I have helped (and still help) 1st year CS students with their homework and their exams (mostly in the Data Structures course).
