Clueless eBayers!
I have perfect feedback (so far) on eBay. I covet my feedback and the satisfaction of my buyers. Sometimes things go awry. I can't deny that I am not perfect. But I pride myself on dealing with problems to the buyers satisfaction. I also pride myself on patience. Even a neutral feedback is like a slap in the face for me because of the lengths I go through for customer satisfaction.
See the unedited complete transaction log below and tell me if this guy would have tried your patience.

I take credit cards only through paypal online (technically I don't
get involved, paypal deals with it and charges me a fee). Are you new
to eBay and paypal? Sign up for paypal when you click 'pay with
paypal' through eBay. I don't know if you can call in your cc#
(although paypal is very safe for buyers especially), so if you can't
do paypal (which trust me you'll use again if you buy other stuff on
eBay), then I guess it will have to be a Money Order.
11/25/2007 11:26am (email to me):
you say it works perfect
11/25/2007 11:41am (email to c.drinkard24)
Frankly I couldn't test it appropriately since my Xbox is hooked up to
an LCD. It was responsive as much as I could tell. It should work ok.
Please read my policies in the auction listing, return shipping costs
are at your expense if you have a problem and need a refund for the
cost of the item.
Just FYI, the time to ask questions that might cause you not to bid is
BEFORE you bid or use the buy it now. If you are going to back out
then I will need to file for my fees. It costs sellers to sell on
eBay, and the amount we pay is related to the final auction price, so
if you do back out you need to let me complete the filing so I can get
that money back, which may total $4-$5.
I see you are new to eBay and I'm just trying to be helpful, but it's
easy for a seller to lose patience with giving a tutorial when most
sales are just list, get bids (or the buy it now 'BIN'), get paid and
mail.
Also, please note that once you get the item you should leave positive
feedback for anything you've won (neutral or negative is unaccepatable
unless you've been rooked).
Thanks, and just email with any other questions.

11/26/2007 11:44am (email to c.drinkard24)
you should pay using the pay now button on the invoice I sent you-
that will make sure it goes thru. I don't have payment yet, so maybe
it didn't go thru.

Item delivered to c.drinkard24
Endicia log entry:
12/06/2007 (Before I realized he left me neutral feedback):
Dear c.drinkard24,
From the auction description:
"This box contains no software and did not originally include software."
Go ahead and pack up the gun and return it to me and I'll refund the auction price to you. Or, if you want to work out a compromise refund, tell me what you have in mind. Either way, I'll expect positive feedback or no feedback.

At this point I noticed that he'd neutralized me, before even trying to sort out the problem. This guy clearly did not read the auction description or my policies.
My comments in numerical form:
1) 7 days from payment to receipt of an item is not 'Slow'.
2) Do not leave feedback until the problem is settled or you stop hearing back from the seller for a significant period of time (more than one week).
3) Do not leave feedback while in the process of mitigating an issue.
4) Read the auction descriptions and policies. And if you don't read them, realize you will still be held accountable for having read them.
5) Don't waste my time! I should set a word limit on correspondence with noobs. I don't offer a course on eBay called 'Bidding 101'. Do some research and figure out how the system works. Even check the USPS website to see how long stuff takes from one zip to the other.
6) (This one is directed at myself)- Don't take feedback from people who don't know what they are doing seriously. Part of me wishes I could just take neutral or negative feedback from the 1 in 200 clueless morons who clog up the system. Intead I bend over backwards to ensure complete satisfaction. I guess I'm stuck with the clueless alongside the excellent.
7) Hey, at least it wasn't a negative feedback! But at least those you can mutually retract.
