Reason for leaving:
PC Network Services in Stillwater, Minnesota. Free soda every day. I added products to OScommerce, but the computers were outdated. The business was trying to make a profit with limited customers. The business eventually went chapter 7. They were originally in a mall, but it became a dead mall. PC Network Services moved to a smaller strip mall. It was a A+ certified repair shop that had its entire business stolen by Geek Squad agents (Best Buy). My OScommerce was online until the very end. People online didn't care if the ecommerce website existed. PC Network Services should've went the Ebay route, but the manager wanted full profit without ebay charges. I told the manager about Ebay accounts and he disagreed, and then went bankrupt. The Best Buy at 820 Market Dr in Stillwater, MN store closed on 10/28/2017 and was taking store traffic from PC Network Services.
Western Wisconsin Health hospital in the first place had a skeleton information technology staff who tried to complete the moving project by itself with volunteers and information technology staff, but it failed. The hospital had to outsource their Information technology setup at the new hospital. I wasn't hired after the internship, because the hospital didn't have enough money after outsourcing that project so I got totally screwed out of work.
Walgreens in Downtown Mankato: Overall I think it’s a good job to get you through college, or if you’re in between jobs, but management is poor. Focus is completely on budget. Every year they’ll cut hours and expect you to do the same amount of work and then some, and complain when you aren’t meeting expectations. They have little to no sympathy when it comes to days off, even if it’s a family emergency or if you’re very sick. After your 6 sick days, they don’t care what the situation is, you’re expected to show up.Pros Promotions, fair pay Cons Only 1 unpaid break, poor management, little PTO, few sick days
Radio Mankato: Unpaid internships are a moral gray area, and for what it's worth, I felt as though this one should be paid. Interns are asked to write and design social media stories and posts, set up and attend events, and occasionally help with on-air segments. The DJs are very nice people, and the on-air segments are fun, but it really does feel as though the interns do work they should be paid for. Not to mention the manager in charge of the interns seems to pick favorites. It's fun, if you're one of his favorites, but if not...you're sort of alienated.
Fun.com: I came to Minnesota for this first shipping receiver job opportunity in a chaotic October. The company pays minimum wage. They don't care about their employees. This place is disorganized. Small talk with coworkers is extremely risky in the break room. The supervisors are not the friendliest and don’t seem to really help the employees. The managers are cranky. managers will manipulate if you go to them with problems or solutions. Lots of great lower level employees should have been promoted, but have since left or are trying to get out. If you need work, don't stay here for more than 2 years or you'll start realizing how bad it is, and it clearly starts at the top. Could honestly write a paper on this place, but I'll leave it at this. pros: Shipping department would hire almost anybody with no experience. Cons: the whole retail apocalypse, cranky managers, the Motorola scanner gives me errors, minimum wage
Laptop Chips starting new Baldwin warehouse with layoffs. This was the week after the rented warehouse lease ended. The main client (Best Buy Richfield) downsized stores and was laid off when contracts ended, the retail apocalypse in progress, some nepotism, and some ageism . Laptop Chips is one of Best Buy's warehouses. They wanted to employee David Spaeth over me to keep AJ focused on his deleting Cisco hardware David Spaeth had nepotism with the CEO Erik Solomonsen. I have photographs of me deleting data off Cisco hardware like AJ. Strange thing is David Speath is a marine using his career exploration program in his ASVAB and veterans preference act along with Eric Hillstead and Eric Carter (national guard). Manager Aaron Forsythe had a Youtube (mirror) about heavy metal or death meal concerts in Somerset, Wisconsin. Dave Keefer was my other manager who lived in Somerset, Wisconsin. Then David Spaeth and Eric Hillstead appeared on Epic Economist on youtube. (pictures) https://www.instagram.com/angry_6.aaron/?hl=en
