Participating ODA 

John started participating in ODA(Official Development Assistance) project which is supported by KISDI since 2010. Until 2020 he have been working for government of Ecuador, Myanmar,  Cambodia, Moldova, Mongolia and Nepal. The projects are for developing the national security policies related to construction of national CERT(Computer Emergency Response Team) and establishment ISMS (Information Security Management System). John visited those country to provide the consultation and achieved the goals which the government set for enhancing the national security policies. 

In 2010, John started participating in the security policy consultation project. The first county was Ecuador. He helped government officials of Ecuador develop the security policy related to establishment of CERT(Computer Emergency Response Team).  The consulting team interviewed many government officials and people from private sectors to derive the appropriate procedures of establishing and operating National CERT. At the final reporting, John gave presentation in front of the government officials including minister of MINTEL (Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society). 

In 2011, John participated in the cyber security consultation project for Myanmar government. The consultation team helped Myanmar government and ISP in terms of developing security policies and managing cybersecurity issues. Especially, KISDI held an information security workshop and Korean experts from academia, private and public sectors participated for sharing the current and advanced topics of cybersecurity area.
