I serve as the Executive Director at the International Economic Relations Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
Prior to this, I worked as Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and Economist at the Structural Economic Research Department; and as an Economist at the Research and Monetary Policy Department.
I received my PhD degree in Economics in 2014, and MA degree in Economics in 2011 from the University of Virginia. I also obtained BA in Economics and BA in Political Science and International Relations degrees from Boğaziçi University.
My research interests are in Labor Economics, International Trade, and Firm Dynamics. I focus on how institutions and government policies shape labor market outcomes for individuals and firms, including issues such as informality, migration, and wage reporting. I also study how trade-related policies, financial access, and exchange rate fluctuations affect the export performance of firms. My final focus revolves around firm dynamics and pricing behavior.
